Why work with me?

See what my students say about working together…

Lysa has been a godsend for getting my books, and myself, out in the world as a romance author! We've been working together for several months and I have published FOUR books! I never thought I'd even get one out! She's helped me work through plot holes, beat imposter syndrome (several times), and learn to market myself as an author along with my books. Her calm, positive personality was a perfect fit for an insecure, anxiety-ridden person like myself.

If it wasn't for her support, knowledge, and extensive resources, I would've given up on pursuing my dream of becoming an author. Of. Four. Books

Best coach out there!

I’m neuro-spicy and ADHD. I had difficulty with one-size-fits-all resources. Nothing was working for me. I had an awesome story idea, in second draft, but had problems wrapping my head around structure, scenes, and creating a writing routine. My story was a mess. Then I met Lysa. She took me on as a Scholarship client (struggling student here!). Since we began working together she’d helped me put together a writing habit that works for me, keeps me on track and stay motivated. She’s my biggest cheerleader.

With a coaching plan that works for my brain I’m on course to finish my final draft for editing before the end of the year!

Lysa has been a GODSEND. Oftentimes, my anxiety will get the best of me, and I’ll stay paralyzed with fear and indecision. Lysa has been the cheerleader, strategist, and coach I’ve needed to get my book out into the world successfully. Thank you so much, Lysa!

Angel M. Shaw: Private Coaching Client

From piecing together my messy ideas to completely pivoting genres and stories, Lysa has provided invaluable guidance. She knows her stuff, has an amazing library of resources, and a personality that makes me feel welcome and respected. She listens to the issues I have, even the unnecessary self-inflicted ones, and always knows how to help me solve my problems. There's usually some homework involved on my part but my stories are better for it.

Lysa has put up with a lot from me already, but I'm on track to getting my stories published because of her.

I can't recommend her services enough!

When I came to Lysa I had a story idea, but nothing else. Lysa has guided me through story and scene structure, helped me develop character sketches and my world. She keeps me motivated and accountable for my story. After only a few months I’m half-way through my first draft. I wouldn’t be where I am without Lysa.
